A Great Place to Live

The U.S. Census Bureau defines a micropolitan area as a rural county whose largest city does not exceed a population of 50,000. Five communities, including Marquette, Michigan, tied for the number 20 spot, out of a total of 576 micropolitan areas in the nation.
Outdoor Life magazine ranked Marquette, Michigan, in the top 10% of their "Top 200 Towns for Sportsmen" in their May 2011 issue. The magazine showcased towns that not only offer excellent opportunities for hunting and fishing, but also provide good paying jobs, a reasonable cost of living, low population density, good schools, and great overall quality of life.
Development Potential
A large, multi-million dollar development project may soon be built in Marquette township, Michigan, that provides retail shops, office space, residences, restaurants, and potentially a Great Wolf Lodge™ with a convention center and indoor water park. This is a 70-acre project.
